The A.E. Schmidt Company was established in 1914, dedicated to serving the entertainment and construction industries. We have always placed special emphasis on meeting the unique needs of the motion picture studios. In the early years, our projects consisted mainly of small infrastructure and physical plant improvements. Over the years we expanded and diversified. We began to design and construct larger and larger projects. As the City of Los Angeles and  the
Motion Picture Industry grew, so did the demand for our construction services.
The A.E. Schmidt Company met this new demand by developing expertise in
all phases of construction and construction management. From our humble
beginnings to the present day we have enjoyed steady, sustained growth.
Today, the A.E. Schmidt Company has the knowledge, ability, and experience
to fast track any size construction project from conceptual design through
to finished design; from plan check through the permitting processes; from
ground-breaking through to completed projects.
